"Silent Partner" Released

Dina Matos McGreevey, estranged wife of former New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey has entered the TV circuit to endorse her book, "Silent Partner." Jim McGreevey resigned in 2004 after coming out as a "gay American." In January of this year, Ms. Matos McGreevey announced that she was writing the book to end media speculation about her life.

The book was released 3 days ago. A day later, the author broke her silence and appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show to promote the book.

Yesterday she appeared on the Good Morning America show with Diane Sawyer and stated, "I thought I had it all, I thought it was the American dream, and it turned out to be a nightmare . . . You know he had the entire day [that he resigned] scripted. His entire life had been choreographed, and even as his world was flaling apart, he was still trying to script everything and making sure that day went as he wanted it."

Dina Matos McGreevey Writing Book

Dina Matos McGreevey, estranged wife of former New Jersey Governor James McGreevey, has announced that she is planning to publish her memoirs in a book titled "Silent Partners."

Ms. Matos McGreevey is the daughter of Maria and Ricardo Matos, who moved to the United States from Portugal when she was a young girl. She is a formed manager of Public and Professional Relations at Saint James Hospital, and Executive Director of the Columbus Hospital Foundation in Newark, NJ.

She met McGreevey in 1996 when he was Mayor of Woodbridge Township, NJ. The couple married October 7, 2000. They have daughter, Jacqueline Matos McGreevey.

Jim McGreevey declared himself a "gay American" and resigned in 2004. Ms. Matos McGreevey reports that she is writing the book to end media speculation about her life.
